January 2022

Jan. 16th Worship Service – “Rebuilding the Altar”

Elijah, the Prophet, gives us the elements necessary for revival from I Kings 18. Elijah prepared the nation of Israel for revival and God wants to prepare us for a great revival of His presence and power. These elements necessary f

Jan. 9th Worship Service – “The Pathway to the Fresh Fire of God”

God gives us simple instructions for the pathway to experiencing His presence and power in our lives. Elijah, God’s prophet, turned the hearts of Israel back to prayer, fasting, and holiness. As God’s people turned their hearts toward God, God poured out His presence and power in their lives. When the people of God humble themselves, repent, and pray, God promises to send the fresh fire of His Holy Spirit

Jan. 2nd Worship Service – “Get Over It”

With the start of 2022, God has the fresh fire of His presence for our lives. However, we can allow our yesterday to hinder us from receiving what God has for us today. God shows us through His Word how the prophet Samuel mourned for King Saul, but God was doing a new thing. In order for God’s new things to come pass, we have to get over our yesterday’s.

“Serve Without Charging”

Thought for Today: Serve Without Charging

In the last few years,  the church has looked to get patted on the back and praised by those they helped for the work that was done for and in the kingdom of God.

If they prayed, they wanted to be acknowledged for prayer. If they worshiped, they wanted to be known for their worship. If they gave in any capacity to anybody, be it help sitting folks in chairs, making flyers, passing out food, helping in this area of the church or that area of the church, they wanted to be acknowledged for what was done.

I say to you, they have their reward. The church that Jesus said that He would build is arising. And every member of His church will SERVE WITHOUT CHARGING. “What does that mean, Pastor Erick?”

It means those who are truly a part of the body of Christ will serve God because they want to and not because they have to. And because of this mindset, the church will not look for a reward for what it does or for what it is doing in the community.

You might not like what I am about to say but it’s the truth; Forgiveness was a gift given to you by God. Grace and mercy were given to you by God. Another chance in life was given to you by God. Power and authority were given to you by God. Knowledge and wisdom and understanding were given to you by God.

“What does any of that have to do with serving without charging, Pastor Erick?” Jesus said it this way in Matthew 10:8, “FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED FREELY YOU GIVE.”

The devil wants you to receive something from those that God used you to share what He has given you freely. He wants this for two reasons, 1) If you give freely (whatever it is that God has given you) it will cause those that you give to to thank God and want to get to know Him for themselves, and the devil can’t have that.  2) If God uses you to give anything that He has given you, the Lord Himself will reward you, as seen in Matthew 16:27, “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then HE SHALL REWARD EVERY MAN (WOMAN) ACCORDING TO HIS (HER) WORKS.”

I don’t know who I am talking to, but God freely forgave you, now you must forgive that person with the same stipulation that God gave you with NO CHARGE. God showed you mercy, and you must show mercy to that individual with the same stipulation that God gave you with NO CHARGE. God gave you grace, showed you kindness, gentleness, compassion, and gives you chance after chance, and you must give those around you that which God gave you with the same stipulation with NO CHARGE.

If they appreciate it, if they thank you, if they acknowledge what you have done, hallelujah! But if they don’t, then shake the dust off your feet and move on. Simply because you gave with the same stipulation that was given to you by God. NO CHARGE.

Many will begin to come to Christ when the body of Christ gives like He gave, with NO CHARGE.

For it is written, “For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God. While by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the Gospel of Christ and for your liberal distribution unto them and unto all men” (2 Corinthians 9:12-13).

Serve God from the heart and whatever you do, in and for the kingdom of God, do it with the same stipulation that God showed you when he handed you all those things with NO CHARGE. AND THE WORLD WILL BEGIN TO SEE THE Church that Jesus Christ said He is building, and many will run to it. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Be Blessed

“The Promised Gift from God”

Thought for Today: The Promised Gift from God

There is a gift from God that is available to any person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. And the beauty of this gift is that, although everyone who is a child of God is able to receive this same gift, this gift from God manifests or reveals itself differently to each person.

Sometimes this gift shows up as wisdom, sometimes this gift reveals itself as understanding, sometimes this gift shows up as power and authority, and there may be times when this gift manifests itself as love, grace and/or mercy, strength and/or courage.

This gift from God will enable the child of God to do things that normal people just can’t do. This gift that I am speaking of is a promise from God to the ones who truly believe in Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Jesus spoke of this promise in Luke 24:49, which says, “And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” I believe that the church that Jesus said he would build, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, in Matthew 16:18 is being pulled together in these last days.

Denominationalism can no longer hinder the Church that Jesus is building, tradition can no longer hold back the church that Jesus is building. Racism, hatred, bigotry, fear, confusion and unbelief is being pushed out of the way as Jesus the Christ is building (bringing together) the body of Christ.

For the word of God says, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many are one body; so also, is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, where we be Jews, or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member but many” (1 Corinthians 12:12-14).

Let me ask you a question: have you received the promised gift of God? And I know you may be thinking “Pastor Erick, I have received a lot from God since I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. What promise are you talking about?” This promised gift of God is not spoken of in many services. It is found in John 20:22, “And when He (Jesus the Christ) said this he breathed on them and saith unto them, RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST.”

Have you received the Holy Spirit of God, which is the promise of God to anyone who accepts Jesus the Christ as their Lord and Savior? In other words, have you accepted, acquired, apprehended, inherited, secured, taken in, gathered, latched on to, and taken possession of the fact that the Holy Spirit of God, the gift of God, now dwells in you? Have you invited the Holy Spirit of God into your life? Such as I have, my brothers and sisters, in the name of Jesus receive ye the Holy Spirit.

Now, I want you to repeat after me, “Father, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. You said that I would receive Your promised gift after I have accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, I am now open to receive your promised gift. I RECEIVE YOU, Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit of God, fill my heart, fill my mind, fill my body, and fill my spirit and my soul. I know that you are a gift from God. I can’t earn you, I can’t make you, and I can’t purchase you, but you are a gift to me from my Father in heaven. I receive you, Holy Spirit of God.” Now just sit for a moment in silence.

For it is written, “Who when they were come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost; For as yet he was fallen upon none of them only, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, Then laid they their hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost” (Acts 15-17).

If you truly received the Holy Spirit of God, the promised gift of God, your life will never be the same. Get ready, because God is going to blow your mind.

Be Blessed

“It Might As Well Be You”

Thought for Today: It Might As Well Be You

In these last days there is a division arising. This division is not of the world, the flesh, or the devil. In these last days the division is between those who SAY they are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and those who ARE believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. When a person says they believe the word of God and they believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, what they are saying is they rely on, trust in, adhere to, and live by the word of God.

The reason why the division is coming upon the land is because of a parable that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 13:24-30, which says “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was spring up and brought forth fruit then appeared the tares also. So, the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares? He said unto them an enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him wilt thou that we go and gather them? But he said nay lest while ye gather up the tares ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn.”

The true word of God has been planted into the hearts of many people this season, and I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit say that the harvest is near. The word of God will begin to manifest in the hearts of those who truly believe with signs and wonders. And I say to you my brother, I say to you my sister, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU.

For the word of God says in Acts 2:22, “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know.” Again, in Acts 14:3, “Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.”

Acts 4:30 says, “By stretching forth thine hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of the Holy Child Jesus.” In Mark 16:17-19 it says, “And these signs shall follow them that believer; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly things. It shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God.”

I don’t know who I am talking to, but the true word of God is being spoken and whoever receives this spoken word and truly believes, relies on, trusts in, adheres to, and lives by this spoken word, miracles signs and wonders will begin to manifest in their lives. And I say to you again, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU.

God has not changed, He is the same today, yesterday, and forever more. He is still making a way out of no way, He is still opening the eyes of the blind, He is still making the mute talk and the lame walk.  He is still the provider, protector, and lover of your soul. And He is still making His word come to pass with all kinds of miracles, signs, and wonders to anyone who would not just say they believe, but to those who truly trust in, rely on, adhere to, depend on, and live by the spoken word of God. IT MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU.

Expect God to do something amazing in your life, because expectation is the breeding ground for miracles, signs, and wonders. And in this season, God is revealing the true believers in Jesus with all kinds of miracles, signs, and wonders. I will say it again, IT MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU.

Everybody is hearing the same word of truth, but not everybody will receive the word of truth.

For it is written, “Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold and said IT WAS NECESSARY THAT THE WORD OF GOD SHOULD FIRST HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO YOU; but seeing ye put it from you and judge for yourselves unto worthy of everlasting life, lo we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us saying I have set thee to be light of the Gentiles that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this (THE WORD OF TRUTH) they were glad and GLORIFIED THE WORD OF THE LORD and many as were ordained to eternal life believed” (Acts 13:46-48).

In these last days God is revealing Himself to those who truly believe in His word with miracles signs and wonders, and it MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU that God reveals Himself to. Believe in the word of God and watch God show up in amazing ways.

Be Blessed
