“A Place To Stay
”

There is a cry from the children of God breaking the heart of God, the Father. All throughout the body of Christ there is a request for a visitation from God. “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” (Psalm 141:2) Many prayers of the saints are going up to God which says, “Come and visit me; come and visit us.” Some are crying out to God saying, “Come and visit me in this sickness. Come and visit me in this storm. Come and visit me in this trial. Come and visit me in this tribulation.” Many are crying out to God saying, “Lord, come and visit me in this confusion. Come see about me in the mess I am in. Lord, come and visit me in this dark area of my life so I may see. Come and visit me about this and that.”

You may not like what you are about to hear, but the Spirit of the Lord says to you today, I do not want to come and visit you. And I hear your thoughts. You are saying, Why not? Am I too sinful for God to visit me, Pastor Erick? Do I not read the Word of God enough for God to visit me? Is it because I do not pray enough, or is it because I do not worship Him enough? Why doesn’t God want to visit me? I need him. And the Holy Spirit of God says to you because if I come to visit, I will have to leave at a certain point and time. When you have a visitor come to your house, they do not stay forever. They may stay a few minutes, few hours, a day or two, or even a month, but eventually they will leave simply because they were just visiting.

I do not want to visit you my son. I have no interest in just visiting you, my daughter. When I sent my Son, Jesus, the Christ, to die on the cross, I made a way for you to invite me into your life forever. I do not want to visit you; I want a place to stay. “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man (woman) loves me, he (she) will keep my words: and my Father will love him (her), and we will come unto him (her), and make our abode with him (her). (John 14:23 [emphasis added]) You have known me to be your provider, protector, guide, and to be all you need in your life. But there is one aspect of who I am you have not known or truly understood. Here, let me show you:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 [emphasis added])

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6 [emphasis added])

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us (this means you) from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 [emphasis added])

If you have to ask me to come and visit you, then you do not know me. “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23 [emphasis added])

I do not need you to prepare for a visitation from me, says the Holy Spirit of God. I want you to begin working on me a place to stay. I do not want to have to visit your thoughts; I want to always be in your thoughts. I do not want to visit you in trouble; I want to be with you in that trouble. I do not want to visit you in your confusion; I want to be with you in your confusion. I do not want to visit you in your loneliness; I want to be with you in your loneliness. I want you to get to know me as Emmanuel, God with you. Where you go, I go. Where you stay, I stay. When you leave, I leave, says the Lord God Almighty. Make a place for me in your thoughts, actions, and in whatever you do in life. This Word will begin to manifest in your life. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (I John 4:4 [emphasis added])

You are my son; you are my daughter. I dwell in the midst of your heart. There is no need for me to come and visit you for I am already here. Do not ask me to visit the situation. Make a place in your heart, mind, and soul, and say, “Father, I know you are here with me. Reveal yourself in this situation.” For it is written:

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.” (Psalm 132:3-5 [emphasis added])

Make a place in your heart, mind, and soul for God to stay. Watch the world, your flesh, and the devil bow down to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords within you. For there are no more visitations to my children but manifestations of who I am will begin to be seen through my children because I am with them until the ends of the world.

Be Blessed!
