Thought for Today: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth 

It seems like one of the hardest things to do in life is to follow instructions. There are many reasons why we as humans don’t like to follow direct instructions. For some of us we feel like we already know what to do, how to do it, and when to do it; for others it’s just too much reading or listening; for others, instructions are too long and confusing.  

When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, God Himself gave you written instructions on how to live a life that is pleasing to HIM. For the word of God says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man/woman of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). 

God has also given you His word to protect you, as seen in Proverbs 30:5 which says, “Every word of God is pure; He (God, Himself) is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” When you follow the basic instructions before leaving earth (read your bible) “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee I judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their righteousness is of me saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17). 

When you follow the basic instructions before leaving earth (read your bible) you will have better direction in your life, for the word of God says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalms 119:105). 

When you follow the basic instructions before leaving earth (read your bible) it will give you a whole new life, for the word of God says “My son/daughter attend to my words incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are LIFE UNTO THOSE THAT FIND THEM AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH” (Proverbs 4:20-22). 

But the main reason why your enemies do not want you to follow the basic instruction before leaving the earth (read your bible) is found in John 1:1-5, which says, “In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made.”  

When you read the Basic Instructions Before Leaving the Earth, that are from God, not only will God reveal to you all that He has created, He will also reveal to you who He is. Reading His word allows you to get to know Him for yourself.

Have you ever noticed that when you pick up your Bible to sit down and read, all hell breaks out? The phone rings, the kids are screaming, the dogs are barking, and the cats are meowing. Music gets turned on, tv gets turned up, and if that’s not enough all kinds of thoughts are racing around in your head as you try to read your Bible.  

I know what I am about to say may sound strange, but you have to stop trying to make time to read your Bible. The world, your flesh, and especially the devil will do whatever they can to prevent you from getting the basic instructions to live a life that is pleasing to God. 

Hear me clearly, you can’t make time to read your Bible, you need to TAKE THE TIME to read your Bible. Not only will it build an intimate relationship with you and God, it will also give you the instructions to build a place for God to stay in your life. 

For it is written, “All this said David the LORD made me understand in WRITING BY HIS HAND UPON ME EVEN ALL THE WORKS OF THIS PATTERN. And David said to Solomon his son be strong and of good courage and dot it (follow the basic instructions before leaving the earth) fear not nor be dismayed for the LORD GOD even my GOD will be with thee He will not fail thee nor forsake thee until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD” (1 Chronicles 28:19-20). 

Get the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (read your bible) every day and watch the life you live move from ordinary to extraordinary.
