“Give Or Keep”

There is something in your heart, mind, and soul that is wearing you down. It is taking up most of your thoughts, your day, the place of your worship, and occupying your prayer life. You are crying out to God about this situation, letting him know all about it. God, I have this problem and that problem. This is going on in my life and that is going on in my life. I have issues, God – physical, mental, financial, marital, my children. I have an issue on my job. I have a burden in my spirit and thoughts in my mind. They are wearing me down, God. What am I going to do with all this that I have going on? And the Holy Spirit of God says to you today: you have two options. You can keep all those things that are wearing you down. Or you can give them to me. You may be thinking: Pastor Erick, I have given it to God. That is why I spend most of my time praying. God says to you: In your prayer you have told me about your situations, but you never released them unto me.

But I did give it to God. This may be true at one point. But the minute you went back to worrying about it, or trying to figure out how to fix it, or get things done, and stressing over it, is when you took it out of God’s hands and put it back in yours. You see the world, your flesh, and the devil knows this truth. As long as the situation is in your hands, which means as long as you worry, stress, try to figure things out, spend your time thinking about that situation, it will stay in your hands and not in God’s hands. You want to know why the enemy wants to keep all that in your hands instead of you putting it in God’s hands? Here, let me show you just a few reasons why the enemy does not want all your stuff in God’s hands.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8 [NASB] [emphasis added]) You see, when your life is in God’s hands, he molds you into what he wants you to be and not what you, the world, or the devil thinks you should be. For the Word of God says, “The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” (Psalm 138:8 [NASB] [emphasis added]) The Word of God says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me: You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies; And Your right hand will same me.” (Psalms 138:7 [NASB] [emphasis added]) Here, take a look at this one. “O sing to the Lord a new song, For He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for him.” (Psalm 98:1 [NASB])

You are a child of the Most High God. When you put whatever it is, the world and the flesh (your feelings and/or emotions) in the hands of your Father, he will deal with them and not you. The Word of God says, “They are Your servants (this means you) and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.” (Nehemiah 1:10 [NASB] [emphasis added]) I came by on my way to heaven to give you the insight on giving – whatever it is that is causing you stress, anger, bitterness, unbelieve, confusion, agony, fear, frustration, hopeless, and anything else that is a burden on your life – over to God and keeping it in God’s hands and not yours.

Here, this is how you give it to God and keep it in God’s hands. Are you ready? Whenever your feelings start thinking about that situation, I want you to stop right where you are and say this: That is in God’s hands. When the enemy tells you about how your children are running the wrong way, you stop where you are and say: My children are in God’s hands. When sickness of your body rises up and pain begins to take over your body, you look up and say: This sickness is in God’s hands. When your money is funny, your change is strange, and your credit will not get it, stop where you are and say: My provision is in God’s hands. When the enemy comes in and attacks your marriage, do not sit there and try to figure out how you are going to fix your marriage, just say: My marriage is in God’s hands.

Every time you sit and think, worry, and/or stress about a situation in your life, that thing will be in your hands. But when you look the world, your flesh (feelings and/or emotions), and the devil in the eye and make the statement that is in God’s hands, the Word of God says, “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will surely do to you.” (Numbers 14:28 [NASB]) For it is written, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22 [KJV] [emphasis added]) Now you know that you have a choice today. You can keep all that mess and try to deal with it yourself, or you can Give It To God. Start by repeatedly saying, That Is In God’s Hands every time the world, your flesh, and the devil try to get you to deal with those things yourself. It is up to you. Give it to God today and keep it in His hands. He can deal with it much better than you can.

Be Blessed!
