“How He Sees You”

There are many times in life that you listen to yourself and live your life by who you say you are. I hear so many children of God say, “I am just a sinner saved by grace.” Well, are you a sinner, or are you saved? Which one is it? If you are not listening to how you see yourself, you are listening to the world when they tell you how they see you. The world would lead you to believe that you are just like everybody else.

If that is not enough, the accuser of the brethren whispers in your ear and reminds you of what you did, how you used to talk, how you used to think, and how you used to act. This leads you to believe that nothing has changed and that you are not right with God.

The Word of God says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he (she) is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17 [emphasis attached]) You may not like what I am about to say but you spend too much time looking at how you see yourself instead of looking into how God sees you. You spend too much time paying attention to how this world sees you rather than how God sees you. You are listening to how the devil wants to make you see yourself instead of tapping into how God sees you.

And, the Holy Spirit of God says to you today, when you begin to see yourself how I see you, the world, the flesh, and the devil will bow down. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior your broken relationship with God because of sin was made new. I know you do not feel like it at times, but you are right with God. I know that you still fall short, fail and sin, but Jesus Christ payed the price for your sins. That means you are in good standing with God. The Word of God says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we (this means you) might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (II Corinthians 5:21 [emphasis added])

When you begin to see yourself how God sees you, the way you think will begin to change. When you see yourself how God sees you, the way you talk will begin to change, the way you live will begin to change, and the way you love will begin to change. You are a joint heir to the throne of God. According to Romans 8:17, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; . . .”

You are the apple of God’s eye. “Keep me as the apple of the eye, . . .” (Psalm 17:8) You are fearfully and wonderfully made. “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: . . .” (Psalm 139:14) You are the head and not the tail. “And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; . . .” (Deuteronomy 28:13) God created you – yes, you – in his image. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; . . . (Genesis 1:27) But, Pastor Erick, I still fall short. I still make mistakes. And to be honest, I still just sometimes just out right sin. So, how in the hallelujah can God see me any other way? How can you say that I am the apple of God’s eye when I still say and do things that are not right with God? It is hard for me to understand how God can love me when I look like this.

The Holy Spirit says to you today I love you just the way you are, but I refuse to leave you that way. This is what I meant in Isaiah 1:18. “Come now (do not wait until later but) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” [Emphasis added] No, you are not perfect at being a child of God. But if you stay in God’s Word, stay in prayer (communicate with the Father), and praise and worship God as often as you can, you will begin to see yourself how God sees you, not how the world sees you.

For it is written:

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man (woman) that thou art mindful of him (her)? and the son of man (woman) that thou visitest him (her)? For thou hast made him (her) a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him (her) with glory and honour. Thou madest him (her) to have dominion (authority) over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his (her) feet.” (Psalms 8:3-6 [emphasis added])

The reason the world, your flesh, and the devil want you to see yourself how they see you, is because if you ever saw yourself how God sees you everything that is not of the kingdom of God would have to bow down to the Holy Spirit of God that dwells in you. Grab the Word of God daily and find out how God sees you. Pray (communicate with the Father) as much as you can so that he can tell you how He sees you. And worship God in Spirit and in Truth because the more you get into His presence, the more you will become like him.

Be Blessed!
