“Just About You”

One of the things the world, the flesh, and the devil try to place in your mind is that the attack on your life is Just About You. They just do not want you to be healed, to prosper, to be happy, or to be content. All the attacks and situations the world, the flesh, and the devil bring up in your life – hurt, heartache, pain, stress, frustration and fear – is Just About You. If they can get you to have this mindset, it opens the door for pride and selfishness to come into your heart and make you self-centered. I do not know who I am talking to, but I came by on my way to heaven to inform you the world, the flesh, and the devil attacking your life are not just about you. You must understand this truth. You are a child of the Most High God, which means you are made in the image of His Son, Jesus, the Christ.

Okay. What does that have to do with all the attacks in and on my life, Pastor Erick? Here is the reason why Jesus said, “And I, if I (Jesus the Christ) be lifted up from the earth, (I, Jesus, the Christ) will draw all men unto me.” (John 12:32 [KJV] [emphasis added]) I still do not get it, Pastor Erick. What does Jesus being lifted up from the earth have to do with me and the attacks on my life? The Word of God says, “And the Lord God formed man (humanity) of the dust of the ground, (earth) and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7 [KJV] [emphasis added]) You were created from the dust of the earth. When you lift up Jesus from the throne of you heart (when you look unto Jesus as the author and finisher of your faith) and let his life be seen through the attacks of your enemies, God will be glorified.

The world, the flesh, and the devil want you to think the attacks on you are just about you. Once you understand the truth behind their attacks – that it is not just about you – it is about God being glorified in your life. Not only will God show himself to be God in your life, but others will begin to take notice of the God you serve. And they will be intrigued about how you made it. They will begin to wonder where you get your joy from in the midst of the storms. They will try to figure out how in the world you can still have peace. It is then the words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ, come alive in your life saying, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 [KJV] [emphasis added])

Listen to me. When you know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is with you always, He will never leave you nor forsake you. You will begin to understand this hidden truth that the attacks of the enemy on your life are not just about you. The attacks are also about God being glorified in and through every situation you come across. God does not have to come to you when trouble abounds. God does not have to come to you when the enemy is attacking you. God does not have to come to you when all hell is breaking out in your life.

God says to you today, You Know Me. And it is because You Know Me, you will understand these attacks on you are not just about you. I want to set this in your spirit. If you are being attacked (and if you are not being attacked at this moment, put this in your back pocket for later), the Word of God says:

Because he (she) hath set his (her) love upon me (Because you know Me, says the Lord), therefore will I deliver him (her): I (the Lord God Almighty) will set him (her) on high, because he (she) hath known my name (have an intimate relationship with me the one true God). He (she) (this means you) shall call upon me, and I Will Answer him (her): I (the one true God) will be with him (her) in trouble; I will deliver him (her), and honour him (her). With long life will I satisfy him (her), and shew him (her) my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16 [KJV] [emphasis added])

You have to get this in your spirit when the enemy attacks you. You must know it is not just about you. It is also a chance for you heavenly Father to be glorified. For it is written, “And call upon Me (the one true God) in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” (Psalm 50:15 [KJV] [emphasis added]) You cannot have the mindset that the attacks on your life are just about you. That is what the enemy of your soul wants you to think. You are made in the image of Jesus. And He said, “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 [KJV])

When you hold on to God’s unchanging hand and understand the attacks on your life are not just about you, those around you will see the glory of God in and for your life. They will be attracted to it because you lifted up Jesus over your storms and the attacks of the world, your flesh, and the devil. Let God arise in your fight, in the attacks, and in the storms of your life, and let your enemies be scattered today.

Be Blessed!
