“Leaving Everything to God”

Thought for Today: Leaving Everything to God

There is a strategy from hell rising against the children of God. The enemy could not convince you that God is not real, they could not convince you that God does not answer your prayers, and they could no longer convince you that you cannot hear from God or God does not hear you.

The Word of God says, “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made, and he said unto the woman, Yea hath God said (Did God really say) ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden” (Genesis 3:1).

The devil is now seducing many children of God with this lie and God said to just leave everything to Him. If you need healing, just LEAVE EVERYTHING TO GOD. If you need comfort or compassion, just LEAVE EVERYTHING TO GOD. If you need strength, just LEAVE EVERYTHING TO GOD. If you need provision, JUST LEAVE EVERYTHING TO GOD. You don’t have to do anything, God will do everything. Whatever you need in life, all you have to do is LEAVE EVERYTHING TO GOD.

I came by on my way to heaven to inform you that the devil is a liar. As a child of God, He did not create you just to do everything you want Him to do for you. You were created to live this life WITH GOD.

He has His part in the relationship and you have your part. Another thing you cannot believe is the lie that the world says a relationship is 50 /50; that is the world’s way of thinking. If the relationship between you and God is 50/50 where is the other half of the relationship being distributed?

God did not give 50% of who He is so that you can have a relationship with Him. The word of God says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). HE gave His all. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit became one with your spirit.  This is what is meant in John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and WE WILL COME UNTO HIM AND MAKE OUR ABODE WITH HIM.”

And just as He gave His all so that you can be one with Him, you must give your all so that He can be one with you. Luke 14:26 says, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”

What I am trying to tell you is that God is not in this thing called life by Himself, and you are not in this by yourself. There is no relationship if you just leave everything to God, just as there is no relationship if you try to live this life on your own.

You are a child of the most high God, you are a joint heir to the throne of God, and the last thing the world, the flesh, and the devil want to hear come out of your mouth is you saying “I am living this life with God and not just for God.”  For the devil knows that with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).

God does not come to you in trouble. The word of God says “He (this means you) shall call upon me (God) and I (God) will answer him; I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE, I will deliver him and honour him” (Psalm 91:15). You are not in this life by yourself, and you cannot have the mindset that you will leave everything to God. You have your part in the relationship between you and God. You may be asking “Pastor Erick, what is my part? What can I do? He is God, He does not need my help in anything.” Listen to me, it’s not about you helping God, it’s about you doing your part to show the world, your flesh, and the devil that you are one with God and God is one with you.

Your part is not to perform miracles, that’s God’s part. Your part is not to be all knowing, all seeing, everywhere at all times, that’s God’s part in the relationship. Your part in the relationship is not to be all powerful or have all the answers, that’s God’s part.

For it is written, “Then said they unto Him (Jesus) what shall we do that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God (this is your part in the relationship) THAT YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT.” (John 6:28-29)

Stop leaving everything for God and do your part. Don’t live this life for God, live this life with God. Let God do His part and you do your part in the relationship by believing in, relying on, trusting in, and adhering to Him and His word. Together with God, you will walk in victory every day.

Be Blessed
