“Nobody Else”

As a child of God you must understand this one truth: you have something that nobody else in the world has. Because you possess this one thing, you are not only different, but you are special and unique. You may not have a degree in theology, or know the Word of God like other people do. You may not be able to sing like an angel, or preach like Paul. But there is a reason the world looks at you crazy when you talk about Jesus. There is a reason why your flesh (feelings and/or emotions) tries to take over when think about the things that Jesus said. And there is a reason why the devil will try to convince you that you are just like everybody else, or that you are no better than anybody else.

I do not know who I am talking to, but the enemy has been pointing out the fact that you are no better than anybody else. As a matter of fact, you have been noticing what everybody else has said, and at times wish that you had what they have. The Holy Spirit of God says to you today, you have been so busy looking at what everybody else has you have not taken notice of what you have. The truth of the matter is you have something that nobody else in the world has. Right now, thoughts are running around in your head trying to figure out, what do I, little bitty old me, possibly have that nobody else has. And you are sitting there thinking about all the things you do not have. Listen to me! The enemy of your soul whispering in your ear you do not have this or that. The world, the flesh, and the devil will always point out what you do not have so that you do not focus on the one priceless thing that you do have. Your momma, daddy, neighbor, and/or stranger do not have what you have. As a matter of fact, your pastor does not even have what you have. Okay, now, wait a minute, Pastor Erick. You are going a little too far with this. What could I possibly have not even my pastor does not have?

The one thing you have that nobody else in the world has is Your Personal Relationship with God. What are you talking about, Pastor Erick? Everybody who believes in God has a relationship with God. Yes, that is true. But what makes your relationship with God so unique is that it is personal. There is only one you in the world; there is nobody like you. The Word of God says, “. . . For I am fearfully and wonderfully made marvelous are thy works (God did an amazing job when he created you); . . .” (Psalm 139:14 [KJV]) There are a few things the world, the flesh, and the devil hates to hear come out of your mouth. One is they hate to hear you say, God knows me. The enemy of your soul will tell you that you are prideful and arrogant by making this statement because God knows everybody. When you make the statement, God knows me, you are not saying God only knows you. But what you are saying is that you know the Creator of heaven and earth knows you. Its personal. They do not want to hear you say, I know God. The enemy will tell you that you are no different than everybody else. But when you make this statement you are not saying everybody else does not know God. You are saying you have an intimate personal relationship with God for yourself.

When you make the statement God loves me, even church folks will look at you and say He loves all his children. But when you say God loves me, you are not saying God only loves you. You are declaring that you have such a personal relationship with God, you know He loves you. You see, God loves the world and all the people in it. But there are so many people who do not know his love and have not experienced his love. When you understand the truth your personal relationship with God is not like any other, your confidence in God will begin to shine, even in the storm and dark places of your life. Your relationship with God is personal. You can say, “The Lord is My Shepherd (I can speak for nobody else but); I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1 [KJV] [emphasis added]) When you say, “. . . as for Me and My house (you cannot speak for nobody else), we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15 [KJV] [emphasis added]) When you proclaim the Lord is the lover of your soul, its personal. Your personal relationship with God is something that nobody else in this world has. Focus on what you do have which is a personal relationship with God and everything else will fall in place. For it is written, “As for Me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save Me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17 [KJV] [emphasis added])

When you say you know God, and God knows you, you have to understand your relationship with God is personal. Nobody in this free world has what you have. And it is not because you are all that and a bag of chips, but simply because your relationship with God is personal.

Be Blessed!
