“Only If You Let Them”

There is a misconception about being a child of God that has been placed in the body of Christ. The enemy has sowed a seed of deception which says if/when you become a child of God, everything will be alright. Nothing will happen to you; nothing will go wrong. Everything will be good in your life from this point forward. Many of my children are shocked when sickness comes to them. Many are overwhelmed when fear knocks on the door of their heart. Many stumble when trials and tribulations come their way. And many are left undone when division, manipulation, and lies visit them, says the Lord God Almighty. What you do not understand is the day you accepted my Son, Jesus, the Christ, as your personal Lord and Savior, a bullseye was placed on your chest. The minute you turned to Me, says the Lord God Almighty, was the minute you turned your back on the world, your flesh, and the devil.

And the world, the flesh, and the devil have subconsciously placed in your mind you will never have problems because you are a child of God. It is a trap the enemy planted to catch you off guard. They say you will not have any problems. They say you will never have any issues. They say nothing will attack you. But I said, “. . . In the world ye shall have tribulation: . . .” (John 16:33) I said, “. . . It is impossible but that offences will come: . . .” (Luke 17:1) I said, “. . . your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (I Peter 5:8) As a child of God, you should expect the world, your flesh (feelings and/or emotions), and the devil to come at you with everything they got. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: . . .” (John 10:10)

Listen to me! They are going to come at you. Did you hear me? They are going to come at you. But the only way they can stay in your life is if you let them. As a child of God, you give them a place to stay when you react to their attacks instead of responding with my Word about anything the world, your flesh, or the devil brings your way. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) They are going to come at you. But the only way they can stay is if you let them by reacting to them instead of responding. I do not understand, Pastor Erick.  What do you mean react instead of responding?

Here let me show you. When fear comes and knocks on the door of your heart about a bad situation, you begin to react, or panic, wondering what will I do or say. How is this happening? Where did this come from? Who did this? By this reaction, it opens the door for fear to come into your heart. Thus, the door is open hopelessness, grief, anger, unbelief, and a host of other dark spirits to come into your life. Respond to the situation with my Word. “For God hath not given us (you) a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7 [emphasis added]) The world, the flesh, and the devil have nothing to work with to keep them in your life.

If sickness comes upon you or your loved one, do not react with panic: What are we going to do? How are we going to make it? This sickness cannot be cured. This gives a place for the enemy to stay in your life. Respond with the Word of God which says, “. . . by whose (His) stripes ye (we) were (are) healed.“ (I Peter 2:24 [emphasis added]) When a need comes from out of nowhere, do not react by running around like a chicken without a head. Respond to the enemy of your soul by saying, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” (II Peter 1:3) The enemy does not want you to know this truth hidden in God’s Word. “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever.” (Psalms 92:7) The enemy knows if they can get you to react to them instead of responding with the Word of God, they will always have a place in your life if you let them. For it is written:

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.” (Psalm 125:3)

The only way they can stay in your life is if you let them by reacting to what they say, think or do, instead of responding to them with the Word of God.

Be Blessed!
