“Only Then”

It is very safe to say that the world we now live in needs Jesus more than ever before. As you look around you this world is filled with darkness. Rage, anger, fear, frustration, hopelessness, greed, pride, racism, adultery, fornication, and the list goes on and on and on. And as you live your life you wish this world would just experience God’s power, grace, and  mercy, the plans of the Father, and most of all, the love of God. I do not know who I am talking to, but the Spirit of God says to you, your world and the world around you will begin to see those things you have desired from me, when you get them first. God’s Word says, “By this shall all men know that ye (yes, you) are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:35 [KJV] [emphasis added])

One of the biggest things that hurts the heart of the Father is when he hears his children make the statement: How can you be a child of God and be a Democrat? How can you be a child of God and be a Republican? And the Holy Spirit of God says to you, your affiliation with me has nothing to do with you being a Democrat or a Republican. Many of my children have placed a higher priority over their position in a political party than their position in my Kingdom. The death, burial, and resurrection of my Son, Jesus, the Christ, is your only affiliation with me, says the Lord. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man (woman) cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6 [KJV] [emphasis added]) God’s Word also says:

Therefore if any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us (this means you) to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. II Corinthians 5:17-19 [KJV] [emphasis added])

If you want this world, and the world around you to experience God, it must start with you. Once you have experienced the mercy of God, it is then you must show the same mercy God showed you. Once you have experienced the forgiveness of God, it is then you must show the same forgiveness God showed you. And once you have experienced the love of God, it is then you must show the same love God showed you.

Listen to me. God did not wait until you had it all together to show you his mercy. God did not wait until you fully believed in him to show you just how much he loves you. I know this may sound strange, but the church needs to stop trying to tell people about who God is, and begin to let God reveal himself through the church how He sees fit. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons (daughters) of God.” (Romans 8:19 [KJV] [emphasis added]) This world, and the world around you, will experience the one true God through you. You may be the only Bible a person may ever read. You do not have time to point the finger at what other people are doing. You do not have time to point out what other people are not doing. You have to look within yourself and make sure you are walking by faith in God, and not by sight. You have to look within yourself and make sure you ask the Father to forgive you of your sins. You have to look within yourself and receive the love of the Father. You have to receive the mercy of God. You have to receive the instructions of God for yourself before anybody else will see it through you.

You cannot give what you have not received. When Jesus sent the disciples out he made this statement to them: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (listen to this): Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I Am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20 [KJV] [emphasis added]) You see that? Jesus basically said, Give them what I gave you. You have to receive and obtain what God has given you before you can give to those around you. For it is written:

Create in me (this means you) a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me (this means you). Restore unto me (this means you) the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me (this means you) with thy free spirit. Then (only when you have done all those things in my life) will I teach transgressors thy ways (Oh, God); and sinners shall be converted unto thee (the one true God). (Psalm 51:10-13 [KJV] [emphasis added])

It is only when you receive the love of God for yourself first before you can show the love of God to anybody else, even if they do not think like you, live like you, walk like you or believe like you. None of those things will matter when you have a personal relation with Jesus, the Christ. Ask the Lord to let you experience him in ways you never seen before. Then, and only then, will you be able to share what you experienced.

Be Blessed!
