“Parts of the Kingdom of God”

Thought for Today: Parts of the Kingdom of God

On many occasions, Jesus often spoke about the kingdom of God. Whenever you hear the kingdom of God, it means God’s way of doing things. For the longest time, this world has only seen parts of the kingdom of God (God’s way of doing things) through the church (those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ).

You show them this part of the kingdom of God by letting them see you go to church. That’s God’s way of doing things, for the Word of God says “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much more as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).

You allow them to see this part of the kingdom of God (God’s way of doing things) by letting them see you praying, for the Word of God says, “That men ought to always pray and not to faint” (Luke 18:1).

You have allowed them to see this part of the kingdom of God by reading and speaking His Word, for the Word of God says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119: 105).

You have also allowed them to see this part of the kingdom of God by worshipping and praising God, for the Word of God says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof and be glad” (Psalms 34: 1-2).

And the Spirit of the Lord says to you, “it is good that you have shown those around you those parts of My kingdom. But I say unto you, there are other parts of my kingdom that you have yet to show. And I say unto you, my child, as I have spoken in Mark 1:15, ‘the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye and believe the gospel.’ In these last days, I will begin to show this world my whole kingdom, and not just parts of my kingdom, says the Lord.”

You may be asking “what other parts of the kingdom of God are you talking about, Pastor Erick?” One part of the kingdom that is rarely seen outside of the church is found in Matthew 22:37-39, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

You have shown them part of the kingdom of God by showing them that you love God. But, you have failed to show all of those around you the same love that God has shown you.

You have shown those around you the part of God’s kingdom where He has forgiven you of your sins, but you have yet to allow them to see the same forgiveness that He has shown you. Ephesians 4:32 says, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake forgave you.”

You have shown and told those around you that God has had mercy on you, but you have yet to allow some of those around you to see this same mercy. For the Word of God says, “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” (Romans 9:15-16).

Jesus said, “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, lo here! Lo there! FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU” (Luke 17:20-21). It is time for the church (the body of believers) to stop showing only the parts of the kingdom of God that you want them to see. In these last days, God does not want to just show this world PARTS OF HIS KINGDOM; He wants to show ALL OF HIS KINGDOM, not only to you, but to the world around you.

For the fruit of the spirit (the evidence of God’s way of doing things) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance, against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). Will you show the world around you that part of the kingdom of God, or will they just see you go to church, pray, read and speak the Word of God, and worship?

For it is written, “Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin and have omitted the weightier matters of the law judgment, mercy, faith these ought ye have done and not to leave the other undone” (Matthew 23:23).

Don’t just let those around you see the parts of the Kingdom of God you want them to see. God wants them to see His whole kingdom (All of His ways of doing things) through the life you live.

Be Blessed
