“Say whatever You Want To Say”

In the coming days there will be a lie that the enemy will spread throughout the land. This lie will be sent to anyone who will listen, but mainly to children of God. The enemy will put you in a position that will tell you that you can say whatever you want.

They will hide this trap around what the world will call freedom of speech. They will convince you that you can say whatever you want. The enemy knows that if they can get you to you say what you want to say, it will prevent the Word of God from coming out of your mouth.

I do not know who I am talking to but as a child of God you cannot afford to say whatever you want. I know you are angry. I know you are upset. I know you are afraid. I know you are confused. But if you say whatever you want to say, you will fall right into the trap of the enemy.

You are made in the image of God. And, God said, “All I hear you say that I will do to you.” “. . .  As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: . . .” (Numbers 14:28) You are a joint-heir to the throne of God, and the Word of God says life and death is in the power of the tongue. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21) I know you want to give them a piece of your mind. I know you want to tell them just what they can do and where they can go. But the Word of God says, “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14)

You see, what the devil knows is that you have not fully grabbed ahold of this truth, that your mouth is a weapon of mass destruction. You have to get this in your spirit. The Word of God says, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son (Jesus the Christ), that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29 [emphasis added])

Let me show you what that looks like. Come with me to Revelation 19:11-15.

And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean (and this is what I want you to pay close attention to as verse 15 says) and out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Revelation 19:11-15 [emphasis added])

Listen to me. As a child of God, you can no longer just say what you want. The enemy will use your words to tear down the things of God. They want you to say what they say. They want you to say what you feel. They want you to say what you are thinking, simply because if you ever held your tongue and say what God says about the situation, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; . . .” (Isaiah 54:17)

When you do not say what you are thinking, and hold your tongue and say what God says, it is then that God will show them that “. . . greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (I John 4:4) The Word of God says, “Whoso keepeth his (her) mouth and his (her) tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23)

When you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, he is not just the Lord over your life, He is Lord over your mouth. For it is written: The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?” (Psalm 12:3-4 [emphasis added]

In this season you cannot afford to say what you feel, say what you think, and say what you want. Hold your peace and say what God says about the situation. Avoid being used by the world, your flesh, and the devil to tear down what God wants to build up in and around your life.

Be Blessed!
