“Seeing It God’s Way

There are times in life where you just cannot see things God’s way. You cannot see how getting sick is in God’s plan for you. You cannot see how not having enough money to pay your bills is God’s plan for you. You cannot see how it is in God’s plan for people to lie on you, mistreat you, deceive, and/or manipulate you. As a matter of fact, you cannot see how this person who does not know God, is not trying to know God, and does not want to try to get to know God, yet they have everything they want out of life. And yet, there are things missing in your life. Jesus was asked, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” (Matthew 22:36) And Jesus responded to them, saying, “. . . Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” (Matthew 22:37-38 [emphasis added])

There are parts of your life you are ashamed of, and you have hidden those things in a room in your heart where you will not let anyone in, including me, says the Lord. There is a place in your heart where you hide fear, unbelief, doubt, and unforgiveness. There is a place in your heart where pride has taken over, and you cannot allow anyone to see. And because you have not allowed me into those areas of your heart, you have kept parts of your heart from me, says the Lord. Let me in every area of your heart my son, my daughter. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) Let me in the area of your heart of which you are ashamed. “Create in me (you) a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me (you).” (Psalm 51:10 [emphasis added]) As powerful as I am, says the Lord, I will not force my way into a specific area of your heart, for I am a gentleman. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man (woman) hear my voice, and open the door (of room in your heart holds hidden truths about you), I will come in to him (her), and will sup with him (her), and he (she) with me.” (Revelation 3:20 [emphasis added])

The enemy has deceived you by telling you to keep an area of your heart from me, says the Lord. You clean it up yourself first, then let God in. But I came by to serve notice, you cannot clean any area of your heart for God. You must let God into the area of your heart, and let Him clean it up for you. How do I let God into an area of my heart to give to him, Pastor Erick? Here let me show you through the Word of God. “Come now, and let us (you and God) reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah1:18 [emphasis added]) You see, when you say, “God there is an area in my heart where I am prideful,” it opens the door for him to come in and cleans up that area of your life. You begin to see things His way. For the Word of God says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18) When you tell God, fear has overtaken an area of your heart, it allows Him to come in and remove the fear. You will begin to see things Gods way. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7)

If you want to see things God’s way, take the lock off the area(s) of your heart and talk to Him about it. “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 [emphasis added]) God does not want part of your heart; He wants all of your heart. For unlike human relationships, your relationship with God cannot be 50/50. He gave His all, so you must give him your all. For it is written: “My son (daughter), give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” (Proverbs 23:26 [emphasis added])

Give God your whole heart. Tell Him about the areas that are stained, ugly, dirty, and just downright shameful. Watch God come into those areas of your heart and not only clean those areas up but renew them as well.  This action will allow you to see God’s way much clearer.

Be Blessed!
