“When You Let God”

Thought for Today: When You Let God

You are in the middle of a fight for something that you need, and it feels like the devil is throwing everything at you but the kitchen sink to prevent you from obtaining this one thing.

You may be fighting for your health, or the health of your loved ones while someone is fighting for peace in their house. You may be fighting for wisdom and/or guidance in a certain situation or you may be fighting for provision, help with forgiveness, peace at your job or in your home, but whatever it is that you are fighting for, it has your back against the wall and you just have no idea what to do.

And the Holy Spirit of God says to you “LET ME FIGHT FOR YOU.” You may be asking, “How do I let God fight for me?” Well, you let God fight for you with three words: IT IS WRITTEN. These three words take the matter out of your hands and put it in the hands of God.

When you say what God says about any battle you are in, it takes the battle out of your hands and it places the battle in the hands of Almighty God. For the word of God says, “Then said the LORD unto me, thou hast well seen; FOR I WILL HASTEN MY WORD TO PERFORM IT” (Jeremiah 1:12).

If you are battling with finances, stop going toe to toe with poverty and say IT IS WRITTEN. “But thou shalt remember the LORD THY GOD; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant (agreement) which He sware unto thy fathers as it is this day” (Deuteronomy 8:18).

If you are battling stress, frustration, fear, doubt and hopelessness, tag the hand of God by saying IT IS WRITTEN, “And the Peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). This will take the battles out of your hands and will allow God to fight this battle for you.

If you are weak and tired and just can’t throw another punch at the world, your flesh, and the devil, LET GOD fight for you by saying IT IS WRITTEN. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped” (Psalm 28:7).

Listen to me, “Thus saith the Lord unto you, be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stop fighting battles that were never meant for you to fight. The last thing your enemies want to hear come out of your mouth is IT IS WRITTEN.

And I know you may be thinking “Why would anything change because I say IT IS WRITTEN, Pastor Erick?” Here, let me show you what happens when you say IT IS WRITTEN. These three words allow God to arise in the midst of the battle and read for yourself what happens when God arises in Psalm 68: 1-2, “LET GOD ARISE and let His enemies be scattered; let them also that hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away so drive them away as wax melteth before the fire so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.”

So many things will take place when you let God fight your battles for you.

For It is written, “Come behold the works of the LORD (come and see what will happen when you let God fight for you) what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth (he destroys reveals and destroys all of the strategies of hell against you). He breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder (no weapons formed against you will prosper) He burneth the chariot in the fire (he destroys the vehicle the enemy uses to get to you) Be still and know that I AM GOD I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” Psalm 46: 8-10

As a child of God, you were not created to fight for victory, you were created to fight from victory. When Jesus said IT IS FINISHED, He overcame all the works of the world, your flesh, and the devil. Let God fight for you today by saying IT IS WRITTEN and watch the battles cease in and for your life.

Be Blessed
