“You Told Me”

There are so many things entering into your mind these days. You have people, social media, and the world in your ear. Your feelings and emotions are screaming from within. The devil is whispering things in your ear all the time. And you spend a lot of your time deciphering what is real, what it true, and what is not. There are days where you are confused, frustrated, angry, and when you simply want to say, “Forget it.” And the Holy Spirit of God says to you today, my son, my daughter, I have given you the ability to removing all those thoughts, all the things social media has attempted to place in you. I have given you the ability to overcome all of those feelings and emotions building up in you. And I have given you that ability to get the devil to back smooth up off of you.

All you have to do is remind me of what I said, says the Lord. Why do I have to remind God of what He said, Pastor Erick? He is God; He knows what He said. The reminding is not for Him; it is for you. When you remind God of what He said, it shows Him you have chosen what He said over what you feel. When you remind Him of what He said, it shows Him you would rather go by what He said instead of what social media said. When you remind Him of what He said, it shows Him you have chosen His words over the words of the world, the flesh, and the devil. “Submit yourselves therefore to God (say what God said about the situation). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 [emphasis added])

When you begin to remind God of what He said, His Word will begin to manifest right before your eyes. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11 [emphasis added]) When the world, the flesh, and the devil come at you from every direction just remind God of what He said. God, You Told Me, “No weapon that is formed against thee (you) will prosper; . . .“ (Isaiah 54:17 [emphasis added]) When your money is funny, your change is strange, and your credit will not get it, just remind God of what He said. God, You Told Me, “. . . for it is he (God) that giveth thee (you) power to get wealth, . . .” (Deuteronomy 8:18 [emphasis added]) When your life seems like a maze and you have no idea where you are going in life, remind God of what He said. God, You Told Me,I (God) will go before thee (you), and make the crooked places straight: . . .” (Isaiah 45:2 [emphasis added]) When darkness floods your heart, mind, and soul, do not try to feel your way out of the situation, just remind God of what He said. God, You Told Me, “Thy (God’s) word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105 [emphasis added])

When you remind God of what He said, two things happen. One, it shows God you have made a decision to live your life by what He said, and not by what the world, your flesh (feelings and/or emotions), or the devil said. Secondly, it puts God in position to make His Word come to pass instead of you trying to make God’s Word come to pass in and for your life. I do not know who I am talking to. But the Spirit of the Lord says whatever it is you are going through, get into My Word. Find out what I said about the situation, and then remind me of what I said. When I hear my words coming out of your mouth instead of what the world is saying, what you are feeling, or what the devil is telling you, it opens the door for me to come into your life and make my words come to pass. Remind me of what I said to you, and I will show you what I said in and for your life. It is written:

Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for Thy Word hath quickened me (made me alive). (Psalm 119:49-50 [emphasis added])

Remind God of what He said. Trust God to bring what He said to pass in and for your life, and not you.

Be Blessed!
