Our Story

Life Church has a long and rich history serving the San Antonio community.  Originally named South San Antonio Assembly of God, the church doors opened in the early 1960’s.  After a devastating fire, the church was renamed Valley Hi Assembly of God and rebuilt at what is now our Life Church Southwest Campus.   A few years later, the church expanded its community reach with the opening of an early childhood center and gymnasium.  In 2012, the church was renamed Life Church of the Assemblies of God, and outreach continued with the addition of Spanish services in 2005.  In 2019, “One Church Two Locations” became a reality with the opening of a second Life Church campus on Potranco Road.  Today, under the direction and leadership of our Lead Pastors, Revs. Terry & Tina Richardson, Life Church continues to expand our reach into the community, endeavoring always to “Change Lives for Eternity …”
